About QC Co Lab in Davenport

About QC Co-Lab

A space for makers, innovators, and creators in the heart of Davenport.

Our Story

QC Co-Lab began as a vision for a community-driven makerspace, starting our journey in a building at Hamilton Technical College. As our community grew, so did our need for space. We moved to our current home—a 10,000+ square foot facility owned by Eastern Iowa Community Colleges and eventually sold to a private developer. Despite changes in ownership to the building, QC Co-Lab remains here, a 501(c)3 non-profit creative hub in a building that has become part of our history.

A Place for Makers

Our expansive facility is designed for creators of all kinds. With over 10,000 square feet, our space includes everything from a fully equipped woodshop and auto shop to dedicated areas for pottery, laser cutting, and electronics. We believe in the power of hands-on learning, whether you're here to build a hobby project, work on a startup, or just tinker around with like-minded makers.

Engaging the Quad Cities

QC Co-Lab is more than just a makerspace—we’re an active part of the Quad Cities community. We've proudly participated in events like QC MakeFest and aim to inspire through STEM education, workshops, and resources for hobbyists and professionals alike. Our mission is to foster innovation, provide a resource for hands-on learning, and make a positive impact through creativity and collaboration.
